Known as “fishbone cactus,” “zig zag cactus,” or “ric rac cactus” due to it’s leaf shape.
This “jungle cactus” is endemic to Mexico and is relatively easy to care for. Makes a great hanging plant once it gets multiple leaves.
Large flowers only bloom evening/night for 1 to 2 days.
Light: Bright, indirect. Can handle some minimal direct sun but, like all plants, should be acclimatized to direct sun gradually.
Water: Mist regularly to simulate it’s native rainforest environment. Keep soil slightly moist (but not soaking wet) in summer growing season, drier in winter.
Temperature: Min. temp of 10C
Important: The above growing specifications are general guidelines. Each home or outdoor area has it’s own unique micro-climate which can influence a plant’s growth.
